The Invention Convention Independent Inventor Program has concluded its 2024 virtual competition. With 89 projects from 155 participating students, our judges report feeling inspired and impressed with this year’s cohort of amazing young inventors who are creating solutions to problems that matter to them. At least three judges viewed and evaluated each entry. Entrants will receive their feedback by the end of the month. We encourage all inventors to read the judges’ feedback carefully and use it to make their inventions even better. Keep iterating! Keep inventing!
The Independent Inventor Program is a pathway for young inventors who do not otherwise have a way to compete through a state or regional affiliate program. This year, nearly 900 students participated in the program at the classroom level or as part of a homeschool program in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, New York, South Carolina and Texas.
Representatives from the Independent Inventor competition will have the chance to compete with winners from other ICW programs around the country at RTX Invention Convention U.S. Nationals 2024. This in-person competition will be hosted at The Henry Ford in Dearborn, Michigan, June 5-7, 2024.
