• Stories of Impact: Educator

Honey Kenney, Educator and Volunteer, Florida

  • August 17, 2022
“Not all kids are going to become engineers or scientists or even business people, but they can all become better citizens through inventing with knowing how their world is constructed.” says Honey, who began teaching invention education in her Connecticut classroom over 25 years ago, and is now working with the Florida Gulf Coast Invention Convention.  “I became stuck on invention because it was a way for students to show their true selves.  Educators ultimately love teaching invention; we need to support them in finding the pathway to acceptability.”
