In 2019, Maddox appeared – and got a 2 Shark Deal – on Shark Tank with his invention, The Measuring Shovel, which has measurements marked from the tip of the blade to the handle, so the user knows how deep they’re digging, how wide of a hole to dig and can measure how far apart to space seeds as they’re gardening.
Now in 10th Grade, Maddox regularly speaks to younger inventors and volunteers with the Tennessee affiliate program.
